- Mid-March: A Dutch couple gets the virus on a landfill tour.
- April 1: MV Hondius departs from southern Argentina.
- April 6: A Dutch man falls ill.
- April 11: He dies.
- April 24: St. Helena. A man’s body is removed from the plane his wife is flying with him to South Africa. The Dutch woman was already sick before boarding the plane to South Africa.
- April 26: Dutch woman dies in SA hospital.
- April 27: A sick British man flies from Ascension Island to South Africa.
- May 2: German woman dies on MV Hondius.

It’s too soon to say that hantavirus will become an epidemic, we have time to contain it. But don’t think a 40% death rate means it will “burn out” that logic applies to isolated villages and not ppl traveling on international flights. In fact, the Black Death had an epidemic 40%+ death rate
