The first Merseyside derby at the brand new Hill Dickinson Stadium on the banks of the famous river is on Sunday, as a resurgent Everton host a Liverpool side nursing wounds after midweek disappointment in the UEFA Champions League.

Everton aims to continue its recent strong form and secure the first win against its neighbors in its new $1 billion home. Victory will bring David Moyes’ men within two points of the Reds, who are fifth in the English Premier League. The Toffees are currently just outside the European qualifiers in eighth place.

Liverpool go into the match looking to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, a result that ended their European Cup hopes this season. That loss was compounded by what appears to be a season-ending injury to its French striker, Hugo Ekitike.

Everton face Liverpool on Sunday, April 19, at Hill Dickinson Stadium, kick-off 2pm BST. That makes it a 9am ET or 6am PT start in the US and Canada, too 11 pm AEST starting in Australia.
