Bluetti FridgePower is the brand’s latest portable station, specifically designed to keep the refrigerator and freezer cool when the power goes out. Unlike most rectangular portable power stations, Bluetti designed the FridgePower to be small enough to easily sit on top of your fridge. It is less than three inches tall and has anti-slip silicone feet for better stability.
According to Bluetti’s calculations, FridgePower’s 2,016Wh battery capacity will keep the fridge running for about 22 hours if the appliance draws about 2,000Wh per day. Instead of worrying about food going bad during a power outage or planning to open the fridge for 10 seconds to grab milk as quickly as possible, you’ll be sure that your fridge will last a day.

Flexible design and great expandability
In addition to setting the FridgePower directly on top of your refrigerator or in the cabinet above, you can also mount the unit on an adjacent wall. FridgePower has built-in wall brackets and comes with a mounting kit. That means you can easily mount it on the wall next to the refrigerator in the kitchen or garage to power an additional refrigerator or chest freezer.

If the 2,016Wh capacity doesn’t sound enough, you can add up to three BlueCell 200 expansion batteries for a total of 8,064Wh. Each BlueCell 200 has the same dimensions as a FridgePower for easy packing.
The convenience of a dedicated freezer backup
I’ve tested a number of power stations and one of the most useful conditions for them is to keep the refrigerator cool. That doesn’t just mean that food doesn’t spoil, it’s important for some households with medical supplies that need to stay cold. Most of the power stations I’ve tested are capable of running the fridge most of the time, but adding the Bluetti FridgePower to your home takes it to a new level of convenience.
When the home’s electricity went out for about 24 hours in December, I plugged the refrigerator into a 2,000Wh power outlet and left it sitting on the kitchen floor. But when I needed to charge my phone with a portable power station, I was tied to the kitchen floor as it kept the fridge cool. The Bluetti FridgePower that acts as a dedicated backup for the refrigerator frees up any other portable power station you have to use for lights around the house, WiFi router, and rechargeable phones.

Multiple recharge options
With a standard AC wall charger, the Bluetti FridgePower will take about an hour from 0 to 80% and about 105 minutes to reach a full charge. With a 1,000W solar panel, it will take more than 120 minutes to reach full power. Bluetti also plans to launch the Alternator Charger 2 soon which will allow you to recharge the FridgePower using your car’s alternator.

How to pre-order a Bluetti FridgePower
Bluetti launches FridgePower on Kickstarter with huge discounts for pre-orders. Between April 16 and May 31, early orders save at least 42%. Bluetti expects shipments to begin in early June for use during summer storms and hurricane season.

Bluetti talks about these prices selling early bird deals. Once those are gone, the prices will change to the regular early bird prices. They are still good deals, just not as attractively priced as the early bird offers. The standalone FridgePower, for example, will go from an early bird of $759 to an early bird of $819.
If you live in an area prone to power outages and food spoilage is a major concern, the Bluetti FridgePower can be a backup storage system. With these early bird sale prices taking at least $540 off, it’s worth jumping on them quickly.
