Marshall Milton ANC: Everything you need to know about noise canceling headphones

Content
There are few tech brands as well-branded as Marshall, and even fewer have headphones that function as effectively as a fashion accessory as the Major V headphones. However, on-ear headphones lacked an important feature: effective noise cancellation.
As of May 19th, Marshall is changing that, releasing new ANC headphones: the Milton ANC Headphones are available today for $229.99 on Marshall’s website.
Marshall Milton ANC: What’s new
Prior to the release of the Milton ANC, if you wanted noise canceling headphones from Marshall, you’d need the more expensive Monitor IIIs, which come in at $379.99 (though you can grab them for under $300). While I found the Monitor IIIs to be a great pair of headphones, especially for a solid combination of style, portability, and impressive battery life, they feature a slightly different design than Marshall’s in-ear headphones, and they don’t. indeed as combined.

This is where Milton headphones aim to fill the gap. First, at $229.99, they’re the strongest low-end mid-range headphones. According to Marshall, the ear cushions will be larger for passive noise cancellation and made of soft memory foam for more comfortable periods of extended wear. As someone who has tried the Major V headphones, I’m curious to see how those changes stack up, as I’ve heard the difference in the ears (it wasn’t the best experience). The main advantage of the on-ear design is that they are small, so you will get maximum portability.
Mashable Light Speed
The Marshall Major V headphones claim to have 100 hours of battery life, so I put them to the test
Of course, the standout feature here is the dynamic active noise cancellation designed to correct environmental noise in real time. Marshall also introduced a new driver system to improve bass and treble.
A welcome addition to Marshall headphones is impressive battery life. Marshall estimates you’ll get 50 hours with ANC on, and 80 hours of playtime with ANC off. In comparison, the Monitor IIIs boast 70 hours of battery life with ANC, but since those headphones have more battery space, it makes sense that the life of these is a little less. At the top is the Major V with 100 hours of battery life, but since those don’t have noise cancellation, three digits makes sense.
The press release for the headphones also notes that the Milton ANC can be powered by a replaceable battery, which, depending on its cost and performance, could provide a lot of value for the headphones over time.
