Hades 2 was chosen as one of the CNET’s best games of 2025but don’t take our word for it. If you haven’t had a chance to play the sequel yet, you can on Xbox Game Pass starting Tuesday.
Xbox Game Passa CNET Editors’ Choice award, offers a wide selection of games to play on your Xbox Series X, Xbox Series SXbox One and PC or mobile device for less $10 per month. And by subscribing to the premium Game Pass Ultimate ($30 per month), you can access hundreds of games, including new ones the day they’re released, each month.

You will have to search for items among the ruins while fighting zombies and other survivors alike. But how far will you go to save yourself?

Lead your team to build a huge empire that can crush your enemies in this fantasy strategy game. And protecting the enemies is just one challenge in this game. You will have to adapt to the changing situation as well. Will you grow as the waves reveal new treasures, or focus on improving your defenses?

The Federal Bureau of Control is under attack by foreign forces, and it’s up to you and your flexible unit to restore order. You will fight chaotic organizations, monsters and monsters made of sticky notes using guns, bombs and other supernatural weapons. Planet Coaster 2

This may not be classic RollerCoaster Tycoon, but it’s close enough. You will build your own roller coasters and water slides, manage your own amusement park and create unforgettable experiences for your guests. It is not clear whether you can launch your coasters on the streets and into the waiting crowds. Will report later.

I’ve always wanted to open my own bookstore, and until I make a lot of money, this game will have to do. You can stock your bookstore with different brands and merchandise, set up shop in scenic locations — like near a lighthouse — and get to know the locals in this cozy management game.
Football Manager 26 (PC and console)
New to Game Pass Premium. Previously Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Get ready for the most immersive matchday experience in the latest installment of the long-running football manager franchise. You can build a star-studded squad with new transfer tools, and this entry includes official licenses for the Premier League and women’s football for the first time in the history of the series.

Following the events of the original game, the Titan of Time Chronos has returned and destroyed the Underworld and Earth. After your father’s death, you return to another 1900s Warsaw to investigate his death, fight the supernatural and uncover the truth.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
New to Game Pass Premium on April 16. Previously on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
A fanatical cult is trying to open the gates to the demonic realm of Oblivion, and it’s up to you to stop them and close the gates for good in the updated version of this classic open world RPG. You can rediscover the world of Cyrodiil (or experience it for the first time in its updated glory), meet unique characters and save the world.
EA Sports NHL 26
Coming to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on April 16.
As the NHL regular season winds down, the playoffs and the fight for the Stanley Cup heat up. And with the latest installment in the EA Sports franchise, you can make sure your favorite team brings home the trophy. This entry in the series introduces new game equipment, such as Ice Q 2.0 and a goalie crease control system, to add more challenges. So if you want to see the Florida Panthers win back-to-back bowls, or you want to make sure that doesn’t happen, this game is for you.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Coming to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass on April 17.
Modern Warfare redefined the Call of Duty series when it was released nearly 20 years ago, and the rebooted version of the classic game takes you back to where it all started. You will control the special forces of the CIA and the SAS as they try to stop the rebels from the fictional Republic of Urzikstan. And if the campaign isn’t enough, you can hone your skills in focused, fast-paced multiplayer.
Little Rocket Lab

Your family’s dream project has been to build a rocket, and you will fulfill their dream in this cozy, machine-building RPG. Sopa: The Tale of the Stolen Potato

Game Pass Essential subscribers have two more games now
Game Pass Essential costs $10 per month and offers access to a smaller library of games compared to Game Pass Premium and Ultimate. While Microsoft doesn’t always include many games in the Essential library, the company added these two on April 8.
Games leave the service on April 15
While Microsoft is adding the above games to Game Pass, it is also removing five games from the service on April 15, including GTA 5. That means you still have a little time left to complete your main campaign and any side quests before you buy these games separately.
